As of the 1st of January, 2019, GST has been removed from most menstrual products which include;
•    tampons
•    menstrual cups
•    cloth or flannel pads
•    menstrual pads and panty liners
•    maternity pads
•    menstrual underwear
•
GST will still apply to the following products
•    feminine washes
•    feminine deodorants
•    intimate wipes
•    supplements and vitamins marketed for use during menstruation or pregnancy.

If you are a business who sells menstrual products you will need to amend your business system's pricing accordingly to reflect the GST changes.

Need help making these changes or to stay up to date with all current changes in the GST system, contact Perth Bookkeeping Services for a one hour free consult to discuss your needs.
